How High is Mount Everest

Everest , the world's highest peak is 29,029 feet or 8,848 meters. However, due to the shifting of the tectonic plates the National Geographic Society has determined the height to be 6 taller putting it at 29,035 feet. This is unofficial though since the Nepali government has not yet made this the official altitude. The ever-moving tectonic plates continue to push the himalaya mountain range upward every year.
